Supporting conditions
一、良好的研究基础


a)已经拥有我国自己的全球大气环流模式(如LASG发展的GAMIL和SAMIL)、全球海洋环流模式(如LASG发展的气候海洋模式LICOM)、全球海冰模式和全球陆面过程模式,以及它们在数十核上运行的并行耦合气候系统模式(如LASG发展的FGOALS_g),多次参加各种国际模式比较计划。
b)已经针对武器物理的高性能数值模拟问题探索研制了适应于数百至数千核的并行应用框架JASMIN,目前,北京应用物理与计算数学研究与中国科学院大气物理研究所LASG正在开展合作研究,就LASG全球大气环流模式GAMIL往JASMIN的移植已经起步和进行初步尝试。
c) 具有高效算法库开发和地学软件优化经验。完成多个地学模式的并行优化工作;完成并行自适应网格软件Paramesh优化和扩展;自主开发了包括并行特征值求解器PSEPS、并行多维傅里叶变换软件包PMDFFT、自动微分转换系统DFT、伴随模式生成器ADG、基于快速多极子方法的电磁模拟软件EMS-FMM。
a) Our teamhas self-developed global atmospheric circulation models (e.g., GAMIL and SAMIL), a global oceanic circulation model (LICOM), an introduced sea-ice model and land surface process model, and the coupled climate model (FGOALS) which has been applied to various international model inter-comparison projects using dozens of CPUcores.
b) We have developed a parallel applications infrastructure called JASMIN for the high-performance numerical simulation of weapon physics. JASMIN is able to run efficiently on supercomputers with hundreds or thousands of cores. Now, the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM) and the National Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (LASG)/Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences are coordinating to reconstruct GAMIL based on JASMIN.
c) We have experience in developing high-performance libraries such as Paramesh, Parallel Symmetric Eigenvalue Package of Solver (PSEPS), Parallel Multi-dimensional Fast Fourier Transformation (PMDFFT), Differential Transform(DFT), Adjoint Generator (ADG), and Electromagnetic Scattering Based on Fast Multipole Method (EMS_FMM).
